Wine, spirits, and beer conglomerate Constellation Brands, owner of products such as Robert Mondavi, Svedka, and Corona and more recently Ballast Point, announced this morning their purchase of 7 year old craft brewery Funky Buddha of Oakland Park, FL. Funky Buddha is (was) South Florida’s largest craft brewery and the state’s busiest tap room. Founders stated that the brewery would reach capacity within the next two years and they needed a strategy to grow once capacity was met. According to press release, the management, day-to-day operations, and creativity will remain unchanged.
